About Self Adhesive Waterproffing Membrane
Self-adhesive describes a material or product with a built-in, pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on one side, which sticks to surfaces when pressure is applied, without the need for glue, water, or heat. These materials consist of three layers: the top "facestock" (the printed part), the adhesive layer, and a "release liner" that is peeled away before application. How it works: When you peel off the backing liner, the adhesive layer is exposed and can bond to a surface simply by pressing down. This pressure activates the pressure-sensitive adhesive, creating a bond. Key characteristics: Convenience: Easy to use, as no extra activation is needed. Versatility: Can be made permanent or removable, and available in many finishes like glossy, matte, or transparent. Durability: Can be designed for specific environments, such as resisting water, high heat, or chemicals. Common uses: Self-adhesive materials are widely used for labels, packaging, industrial tapes, and medical dressings. Structure: A typical self-adhesive product is made of three layers: Facestock: The top layer that carries the print and visual design. Adhesive: The sticky layer that bonds to the surface. Release liner: The backing that protects the adhesive until it is applied.
